Boats rafting near the shores of Chief's Island in Lake Couchiching. Chief's Island is 110 acres which is completely uninhabited and owned by Rama Reserve  Native Band.

 

 

Couchiching Beach Park just a short walk from our cottage. This park has all the flavour of parks 100 years ago. It still has the bandstand dating back to 1909.

Tudhope Park Also within walking or biking distance on the Orillia trail system. This beautiful 62 acre park located on the shores of Lake Couchiching off Atherley Road, contains Moose Beach with excellent supervised swimming and change rooms.

Visit The Historical Orillia Opera House and see the Sunshine Theatre Co.  Perform daily!

Enjoy an afternoon at the Stephen Leacock Museum which is only a 5 minute walk from the cottage or paddle over one bay to the calm and beautiful Old Brewery Bay and picnic on the museum grounds.

Try your luck at Casino Rama which is directly across Lake Couchiching.  It is over 195,000 square feet of fun!

Get out and see the Orillia spring Blues Festival and the fall Jazz Festival.  They will have you up and dancing.

If you like to see the sights on water you must take a ride on the "riverboat style" Island Princess that docks a leisurely 5 minute walk at the harbour of Orillia docks.
